Marrying Up

Marrying up. It's a phrase I've heard a lot lately. Usually stated by the husband. I think it's supposed to be a compliment, but does that mean the wife simply settled??

It's like the strange trend of where men in authority--pastors, teachers, etc.--go into great detail to about the apparent hotness of their wife. Hello...I don't need to hear about how hot your wife is! It's become the cool thing to say or something. Personally, I'd just rather be called beautiful :)

I'm just waiting for someone to actually admit they married down!
