How do I love Thee

There is a new love in my life. It was very unexpected. I wasn't prepared, but you can't stop true love...

Moving to small town, Virginia has required many adjustments. And even though August will mark two years with this new zip code, I'm still mourning the loss of the things I've left behind: Relationships from college that have just not survived the distance, restaurants that cannot be replaced, my ability to be a grocery snob (thank goodness I still have Kroger!), and accessibility to great shopping. But I've found something to ease me through the pain. Something that my waistline is not thanking me for....Wade's donuts.

First of all, I have never been a lover of these sweet breakfast treats. Secondly, Wade's is by far the sketchiest grocery store around. If you didn't grow up Here, you probably wouldn't ever shop there. But in my efforts to become a Towny, I buy fresh meat and donuts from this locally-owned grocery store.

Admittedly this was not my first time buying these fresh daily delights. I've always gone for the blueberry (healthier??) cake donuts, but they we were out and we still had a few extra bucks on our grocery budget for the month so I grab a bag of the powdered sugar. My mornings will never be the same :)

And now I need to go for a run...maybe these will be motivation and reward!!

  1. Aw- I miss Wade's! It was so fun knowing every check-out person when I went there! Except when I ran in to buy beer or wine and went through an old club kid's check out line. ;-)
