Safety Gear Needed

The scene: Bisset Park on Memorial day.
The people: 25 of our closest high school friends and leaders
The attention grabber: A 100ft hose, a large black tarp, 6 cation cones, and lots of dish soap
Equals: A ton of soapy fun and a crowd of onlookers.

When you see 20 high school kids show up at a park do you get nervous? Cause I'm pretty sure we made some parents fear for their children's safety tonight.

And let the games begin...

This was the safest game we played all night!

So if you see us out at a park near you (because we'll definitely be doing this again!) have no fear. We are well behaved, well as much as high school and college kids can be, and just having some good 'harmless' fun!

Mile Stones

Today was the type of Saturday I simply love. Sleeping-in with my hubby, hanging around in pajamas for a few hours (probably catching up on blogs!), getting stuff done around the house, and finally by mid-afternoon ready for the 'day' to start. Perfection!

And today we had a lot of perfection plus lots to look forward to. Many of our leaders graduated from college today. Congrats! Two years ago, on a day very similar to today, I graduated from college. It was an exciting yet scary time in  my life. So many unknowns but so many hopes for the future :)

Me and my great friends Emily and Krista on our graduation day!

I'm so glad we had the opportunity to celebrate this milestone with our friends today. It's a great achievement and I'm proud of all the graduates. Thanks for sharing your day with us!

Here's a glimpse into our day.

Beautiful girls. Beautiful picture.

Enjoying :)

Thank you Lee and fam for inviting us to witness this amazing view!

My Day Away

Let me profess my new LOVE for all dogwoods in pink.

These dogwoods do not sit in my yard :( but they are right next door!

Every month I take a day away (a strong "suggestion" by my regional director). And today I enjoyed getting "away" to make back yard. It's been beautiful here for the past few days, and I loved the opportunity to further enjoy it for another day :) So thank you sunshine, Beth Moore, Bible, blue highlighter, colorful pens, nice breeze, comfy blanket and sunglasses.
